Shipping to Regional Australia
At Jati, we have many customers in regional Australia that live outside of the normal shipping lanes. Because Jati teak is so hardy and tough, it is an excellent choice for those who live a bit off the beaten path. But getting it there can prove a challenge sometimes!
We are confident that we will be able to your new favorite outdoor furniture to you. We deliver at cost, and always endeavor to bring you the best price possible without compromising safety standards.
When you select ‘custom delivery quote’ at the checkout, you are starting a process where our team will investigate different shipping options and come back to you with all the information. Once a shipping method has been agreed on, we can then process your payment separately via credit card or bank transfer. If you’d prefer to discuss your shipping options prior to placing your order, please don’t hesitate to contact your nearest Jati showroom and our staff will be happy to help.

Q: What happens after I’ve placed my order and requested delivery?
A: You will shortly be contacted by one of our staff who will arrange delivery with you.
If you have pre-paid for delivery, then it is a simple matter of selecting a time that suits you. Whenever possible, we schedule delivery at your convenience.
If you have requested a custom quote, then we will research delivery options and come back to you with a price, or contact you for additional details. Please note that this process sometimes takes several days.
Q: Is Jati furniture delivered fully assembled?
A: By default, all furniture and umbrellas are delivered fully assembled with all packaging removed.
In many cases, we can deliver a table flat packed at your request. We will never do this without speaking to you first.
In some instances, we are able to reduce your shipping costs by delivering the furniture either unassembled or boxed. Again, we will never do this without discussing the advantages and disadvantages with you first.
Q: I am looking to purchase something small (eg. a classic teak serving tray), but the shipping cost seemed very high. Is that correct?
A: Possibly not. Our shipping cost estimates are based on moving large pieces of furniture and may be inaccurate for small items. If you think this might be the case, please select ‘custom quote’ at the checkout or contact your nearest showroom directly for exact prices.
Q: When I entered my address, I was given the options ‘local pickup’ and ‘custom delivery quote’. What does this mean?
A: The cost of shipping furniture to your region can’t be easily automated, so one of our staff will look into it personally. You may be asked for additional details to ensure we can secure the best deal for you.
Q: I need delivery to a rooftop with a very narrow stairway. Can my new furniture be assembled on site?
A: Most likely, yes. In most circumstances an onsite assembly is possible when it is the only way to bring things in. There are some exceptions, so we would suggest contacting one of our showrooms to go through the details before placing your order if you are concerned about access.
Q: Where can I pick up from?
A: You can pick up by appointment from our showrooms in Richmond, Victoria or Artarmon, New South Whales.
Q: Can I schedule delivery for a few months’ time?
A: Yes! We are happy to hold your purchase and schedule delivery when you are ready.
Q: Do you deliver to other countries?
A: Unfortunately, we can only deliver within Australia.
Q: Can I send my own courier to collect?
A: Generally yes, by appointment.
Q: Can I cancel my order and receive a refund if delivery costs prove prohibitive?
A: Yes.
If you are concerned that this may be the case, please don’t hesitate to contact one of our showrooms prior to placing your order for an estimate. While we can provide refunds, we would rather not cause you the inconvenience.
Q: Do I have to be home for my delivery?
A: We will only leave a delivery unattended with your express permission and when it is safe to do so. If you are unable to have somebody present to receive your delivery, please write “permission to leave” and a description of a safe place in the comments box in the checkout. (eg: “Permission to leave in the garage on the left hand side of the house. Please close the gate when you leave”)
